Field Trips

Part of growing up is discovering who you are and how you fit into the larger global community. We strive to offer opportunities to our youth that take them out of their comfort zone, show them new environments, and introduce them to new people and ways of living. No one experience can cover all of that, so we offer a multitude of trips for nearly all ages and with a wide range of activities. While the trips listed below aren't the only ones that we embark on, they are some of the trips that we are making annual adventures!

Annual Adventures

Pacific Region Conference (PRC)

Taking place in Washington state at the end of November, the PRC conference provides a safe, supportive environment for teens to explore diverse topics with their peers. Topics can range from identifying values, building communication skills, to relationships and making healthy life choices. The road trip on the way is fun too!

BOLD/GOLD

The Boys and Girls Outdoor Leadership Development program

offers youth the opportunity to spend a week canoeing through the remote boundary waters of northern Minnesota. While learning wilderness skills and working as a team, the teens strengthen and develop leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Saturday Fun Club

Once a month the YMCA of the Seven Council Fires hosts Saturday Fun Club which takes kids around the state to swim, fish, meet new people, and have a whole lot of fun! We visit other YMCAs in the state such as the Pierre and Rapid City Ys, sled in the winter, and there might even be a sleep over or two as well! Come join us for some Saturday fun!

Christian Values (CVC)

Are you ready for five days of pure adventure, fun and games?! Every year the CVC conference takes place at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in scenic North Carolina. The conference includes nightly mixers, uplifting morning songs and devotions, and the chance to talk about what YOU believe with other students from all around the country.
