KIDS TO CAMP

LOOKING FORWARD

Another year at the Sioux YMCA has come and gone. This past year was as busy as ever. We ran overnight camps, day amps and after school programs just to name a few. We took youth to Washington, Massachusetts, Colorado, and Minnesota. We celebrated holidays and danced in Powwows. We opened new buildings and we created new opportunities for the youth that we serve.

There is one thing that everything we did had in common - none of it would be possible without support from people like you. We can't tell you how much we appreciate those that supported us through donations, supplies, volunteerism, letters of encouragement, and even shoulders to lean on. As we reflect on the years past, we also look toward the future.

CAMP AS A SECOND HOME

YMCA Camp Marrowbone offers our campers, ages 7-18, a chance to escape, to explore, to challenge themselves, to learn new skills, and to make new friends. They do all of this while feeling safe and supported by positive role models.

The impact that camp has year after year was our inspiration to launch our Kids to Camp Campaign. We want to ensure that we can continue to offer a large number of scholarships and support to our campers. With your support, we can continue to provide life-changing opportunities for our youth. Our goal of $25,000 will help make this dream a reality.

Here are some examples of what your generous contributions can do for these youth:

$20 - Art supplies, giving campers a chance to express themselves

$50 - Essentials for camp including sleeping bags, clothing, and hygiene supplies

$100 - One healthy and nutritious meal for 20 campers who might not have food at home

$250 - Teen leadership opportunities such as a field trip, special event, or project supplies

$500 - Scholarship for a camper for a full week at camp

$1000 - New canoe or kayak used to explore new horizons

All gifts support our mission to develop and strengthen the children and families of our communities so they can fulfill their greatest individual and collective potential, spiritually, mentally, and physically. Any amount helps!
